You wouldn't buy a car before taking it for a test drive.  Before you decide on where you want to attend college, you may want to give it a spin, too.  There are so many things that will affect your college experience at C-N that we can't just show you on our website:

What are the dorms like?

How about the food on campus?

Is it easy to get around campus?

Can I meet my professors?

Come see for yourself.  Schedule a visit with one of our admissions counselors or take advantage of one of our special visit dates for visitors scheduled throughout the year.

 

Showcase Saturday - September 15, 2007, November 10, 2007 and February 23, 2008

Showcase Saturday is a preview day you will find no where else!  Come join other students as we roll out the orange and blue carpet for you!  In addition to several information sessions, you can take a guided tour to see classroom buildings, dorms, the Stephens-Burnett Library, and our Student Activity Center, among other facilities.  After the tour, every academic department will be available to answer questions and talk about your academic and career goals.  You will also have the opportunity to talk with Admissions and Financial Aid Counselors, and enjoy a complimentary meal in Stokely Memorial Cafteteria.  And if that's not enough, enjoy complimentary football tickets in the fall and basketball tickets in the spring.  Don't have any C-N gear to wear to the game?  Don't worry...we've got you covered.

 

Eagle Experience - March 27-28, 2008

Want to see what it's like to be a C-N student for a day?  Sign up for Eagle Experience!  Especially for high school juniors and seniors, and potential college transfers, Eagle Experience will give you a taste of what it's like to be a student at Carson-Newman.  This year's theme is "Blast from the Past" as we celebrate the rich heritage of our historic college.  At Eagle Experience, you will stay overnight on campus in one of our residence halls.  Be sure to bring a blanket to enjoy a movie at "Starlight Theater" on Henderson Lawn with the rest of the C-N campus.  The next day, get your feet wet by attending a few classes, take a tour of our beautiful campus, sit-in on information sessions, and eat in Stokely Memorial Cafeteria.  You will receive the ever-popular Eagle Experience T-shirt and other C-N gear.  Oh, and did we mention the cost is free?  Space is limited so sign up today!,

 

Individual Appointments - Monday-Friday 10:00 AM or 2:00 PM  

We'll roll out the orange and blue carpet for you any day of the week.  You are more than welcome to schedule a private visit to experience what C-N is all about.  During these individual appointments, you can schedule to meet with an Admissions Representative, talk with your Financial Aid Counselor, have lunch with a professor, and take a tour of our beautiful campus.  If you visit while classes are in session, we may be able to arrange for you to attend a class of your choice.  Our visits can be scheduled daily at 10:00 AM or 2:00 PM.  Please request these appointments at least one week in advance.
